IMPLANT PROSTHODONTICS
Dental implant is a surgical component that interfaces with the bone of the jaw or skull to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown, bridges, denture, facial prosthesis or to act as an orthodontic anchor. The basis for modern dental implants is a biologic process called osseointegration in which materials such as titanium form an intimate bond to bone. The implant fixture is first placed so that it is likely to osseointegrate, then a dental prosthesis is added. A variable amount of healing time is required for osseointegration before either the dental prosthesis (a tooth, bridge or denture) is attached to the implant or an abutment is placed which will hold a dental prosthesis. The AJ Institute of Dental library has a total area of 14550 sq.ft. It has separate reading areas for undergraduates and postgraduates. It has a seating capacity of about 200 which is well illuminated with natural light. The library is under electronic surveillance so that no reading material is taken outside the library.
- The students and the faculty members are allowed to browse the internet from 9 am to 9P.M There are a total of 34 computer systems. The internet room is fully air-conditioned.
- Reprography: There is also a reprography service, where the study material can be photocopied on a payment basis.

Hostel
We build well-ventilated, spacious hostels for girls and boys on the campus of AJ Institute of Dental Science. The facilities include self-contained toilets and baths, study tables with cabinets for books, wardrobes, cots, and mineral water. Air-conditioned rooms are availed on request. The hostel mess provides good quality, hygienic well-balanced food.

Canara bank has a full-fledged branch with a core banking network ATM and internet-banking facilities on the college campus. it offers all types of banking services to the staff and students. It functions for 6 days a week from Monday to Saturday. Student fees and other payments are remitted through this in a campus bank branch. 24-hour ATM service with two ATMs are available.
