BAMS is an UG medical course. BAMS course duration is 5.5 years with the final year being a compulsory internship duration, students have to work as an intern in the areas assigned to them. BAMS is a different medical course, in which students are trained to treat the patients with only Ayurvedic medicine.

Students have to write entrance exam such as NEET & score minimum marks to get eligible for admissions of BAMS course. Due to lack of availability of western medicine and Ayurveda being a very prominent course in India, BAMS job scope is high for BAMS course.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The basic BAMS course eligibility criteria for an aspirant who wishes to pursue Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery degree is qualifying 10+2(PUC) or equivalent examination, in which biology is the compulsory subject. The BAMS course students have to complete their 10+2 (PUC) from recognized Board with an aggregate score of 50% to 60% requirement varying from college to college. The students must also clear the NEET exam.
