About Alvas Education Foundation
Alvas founder Dr. M Mohan Alva set up an Ayurvedic clinic in Moodubidire in 1980 to cater to the basic health needs of the people of his village. The clinic responded to the then prevalent main health issue like snake bite. He started Alva’s Pharmacy in 1982 to produce the necessary medicines. The clinic was upgraded from time to time responding to the need of the hour and Alva’s Health Center, a full-fledged multi speciality hospital came into existence in 1986. After finding the solutions for the health needs, Dr. Alva diverted his attention to the idea of serving the society. He realized the need for creating job opportunities for the rural youth. He started the Paramedical courses to support the health needs and to help the youth to find jobs very easily. Alva’s Education Foundation came into existence in 1995 with Alva’s Institute of Nursing and Physiotherapy. Nursing College and Ayurvedic Medical Colleges were added in 1996. Read More…

Hostel
Alva’s provides the best facilities for the students who live on the hostel. Separate hostels for boys and girls with spacious rooms. Hostel students can access the Wi-Fi facility. The study hour is from 9.00 pm to 11.00 pm is compulsory and strict discipline will be maintained. The inmates of hostel are provided with reading table, chair, cot and fans. Recreational Facilities including gymnasium are also well provided.

Transport
The college has its own fleet of buses connecting the campus with different points like Mangalore, Surathkal, Mulki. Brahmavar, Udupi, Manipal, Hebri, Belman, Kaup, Belthangady, Karkala, B.C Road and Bantwal for the benefit of the students and staffs. Transport for special occasions and competitions.
Auditorium
There is a large indoor auditorium within the campus for conducting seminars, workshops and conferences. Apart from that, there are open theatres and conference halls dedicated for literary and cultural programmes with a seating capacity of several thousands.
Bank and ATM
Canara bank has a full-fledged branch with a core banking network ATM and internet-banking facilities on the college campus. it offers all types of banking services to the staff and students. It functions for 6 days a week from Monday to Saturday. Student fees and other payments are remitted through this in a campus bank branch. 24-hour ATM service with two ATMs are available.
